• My committee and I would like to thank you and your chaps for building our super new WI Hall. We are absolutely delighted with the standard of workmanship and the Hall has far exceeded our expectations. We are also ‘over the moon’ that you managed to bring the project in under budget. We couldn’t have chosen a better builder and we are very grateful to you and your team for the work you have done.

• South Woodham Builders were recommended to me by my neighbour. For the first part of the process we decided to meet them together with alternative builders to quote for the job.
  
  First impressions always count and I was comfortable choosing SWB due to their professionalism and knowledge of the trade and that they are a local family run company. As our job was quite complicated I had no hesitation in putting my trust in them.
   
  Once the job had started we were kept fully informed of who was going to be on site and when and our home was kept clean and tidy at the end of each day.
  
  I must also add that down to choosing the colour of the roof tiles – which was a major decision for us – we went with their recommendation and have not at all regretted it.
  
  On the whole we were very pleased with SWB and I have subsequently recommended them to our friends.

• South Woodham Builders undertook and completed building works consisting of a ground level garden room extension and a first floor bedroom extension.
  
  We chose South Woodham Builders due to their professional manner and approach and obvious experience and knowledge of turning the building plans into home extensions. We found Richard, Grant and the team polite, courteous and very respectful of our home. They responded to our requests for additional features and all works were completed to a very high standard. Whilst we recognise building extensions have an impact on family life, Grant ensured that all communications with the Council Buildings Department were undertaken by himself and with very limited interruption to ourselves.
  
  We would have no hesitation in using South Woodham Builders for any future works.

• We approached South Woodham Builders to build our large home extension. They listened very carefully to our ideas and suggested ways to keep costs down without compromising what we wanted. They also provided a detailed breakdown of the likely costs. SWB organised and submitted all the planning application paperwork with detailed plans of our extension to Chelmsford City Council. These plans were passed without modification.
  
  The building work commenced as promised by SWB on the date previously agreed and was fully completed on time and within our budget. SWB were excellent. They brought in specialists as required such as plasterers, heating engineers and roofers. They also accommodated our various requests such as renovating a bathroom not included in the original plans and extra plastering work.
  
  All work was completed to a very high standard and we are very pleased with all the work completed. SWB are highly professional, reliable and very courteous. When they say they are going to do something, they do it and they do it well.

• Having worked with SWB since March 2021, they have almost become part of our family!
  
  Their knowledge, friendliness, thoughtfulness, expertise and experience has made them the best choice of builder we could have possibly wished for. They have access to excellent trades and have project managed our Westbury extension and Tom Howley kitchen renovation. All we've done is make the tea and pay the bills! The whole experience of working with them to date has been extremely pain and stress-free and we would highly recommend them to everyone ... although please wait until our house is completely finished before you contact them.
